Looking for healthy volunteers for a study on the effects of TUS on decision making
The study involves attending four sessions at the Brain Research & Imaging Centre (BRIC) at Plymouth Science Park. In the first session you will undergo a short MRI scan and we will ask you to practice doing a decision making task on a computer. During the next three sessions, we will use transcranial ultrasound stimulation (TUS) to modulate activity in a region of your brain before you enter the MRI for a brain scan.
You will be reimbursed up to £100 in total for attending all four study sessions, and an additional amount up to £10 depending on your performance in the tasks. We will also pay for your travel expenses up to £10 for each visit to BRIC.
You must be over 21 years of age and have no current diagnosis of any neurological or psychiatric conditions.
For more information, please send an email to Siti: siti.yaakub at plymouth.ac.uk.
The study has been approved by the University of Plymouth Faculty of Health Research Ethics and Integrity Committee (Ref: 2487).
